I am a mixed-media artist, freelance graphic designer and illustrator.
My former career was as a chef in my family’s restaurant (Hathaway’s Cafe in Biltmore Village) and I am fourth generation coffee roaster. My Great-Grandfather founded Geo. H. Hathaway Coffee in Chicago in 1898. I am still quite passionate about food and coffee. We are definitely foodies here. The kitchen is evidence of that, I still think I am a restaurant cook, the pantry is well stocked and ready for a crowd at any moment. Well, if they don’t mind the mess.
I live in a teeny-tiny beloved bungalow with my husband and three cats. Our house is full of books, (the dining room serves as a library with floor to ceiling shelves) art supplies and kitchen gadgets. No room is safe from books and art supplies, everywhere you look there are piles of books, paint brushes accidentally misplaced, and canvases propped everywhere.
I invite you into my chaotic creative world through my blog…come see what creative endeavors I get myself into.
